7/29/2011 - Friday Night

We try to get takeout or go out to dinner every Friday night. And I would say that tonight was a success. Liam was a trooper and stayed up a little past his bedtime and was pretty much in good spirits all night until the drive home. Finny was his charming self and ate a good good dinner! Ah, the little things in life that make you feel like you can conquer the world.

7/28/2011 - Stall Tactics

Finn is a smart smart little boy. He uses any and all stall tactics to stay up as late as possible. He does it in a smart way too. He rarely ever has temper tantrums at night. He simple uses the cute playful method, like hiding behind his brother's crib and giggling. So it's virtually impossible to get mad at him. Dude, I am such a sucker for this kid.

7/27/2011 - Feeling less sick

Finny stayed home sick with papa today. He's been nursing a nasty cold since last Friday. Last night he had a coughing fit in the middle of the night and woke up rather groggy and out of it this morning. Jesse decided to keep him out of school just to rest up. By the time I got home from work today, he was almost up to snuff. Still has a little bit of the runny nose, but he was feeling well enough to run around out back and make mini mischief.

7/26/2011 - His father's son

From Drop Box

Much like his adventurous eating papa, Finn likes some interesting food combos. Tonight it was mac & cheese and seaweed. He can't get enough of the salty sticky seaweed. Odd coming from the kid that rarely tries any new foods. He ate almost an entire bag of Korean seaweed. Odd ... just odd.

7/25/2011 - Putting it all away

Last week I blogged about our avid reader, Mr. Finn. Though I love his appetite for books, I can't handle the mess he leaves behind. We really need to work on his clean up skills. It's starting to cramp our style.

7/24/2011 - Sweet Potato

From Drop Box

Liam had hid first solid foods today! Sweet potatoes were a hit! He is going for round number 2 of sweet potatoes today. This one's going to be a great eater!

7/23/2011 - Ocean Beach

From Drop Box

We took the kids to Ocean Beach today. Though it was an overcast and chilly day, we made the best of it. Finn did sprints on the beach with Jesse in hot pursuit. Liam got the enjoy the cool ocean breeze on his face for the first time. He seemed to enjoy it. I love CA. I'm not sure we could ever leave.

7/22/2011 - Out and about

We went out to dinner on Friday day for a friend's birthday. Finn was extremely patient and good, but unfortunately got a little hungry and cranky at the end of the night. We experienced the worst temper tantrum ever from our sweet sweet boy. I want to remember this night as this pic, rather than the angry end of the night we experienced. It was horrible. poor boy poor parents.

7/21/2011 - Avid Reader

From Drop Box

Finn is our little avid reader boy. Absolutely crazy about books and I hope that continues for a long long time.

7/20/2011 - Whatever you do, don't smile

From Drop Box

Finny no longer will give his sweet smile for the camera, but the cute silly smile is just a satisfying. I begged and begged him to pose for me tonight. The only thing that worked was telling him not to smile. Reverse psychology, maybe you do work?

7/19/2011 - Flat tire

My tire popped while driving the kids home today. It was terrifying, but we all are safe and that is what matters most. Jesse came to the rescue and with the help of his assistant, Finn, they changed the tire. There is a lesson everywhere you look.

7/18/2011 - Juicy Tidbits

From Drop Box

We bought a Jack LaLanne Juicer. It's fabulous and fun. We have been enjoying lots of tasty juicy creations. But now we are out of produce. Seems like we might need to up our produce on the grocery list.

7/17/2011 - Baby you can drive my car

From Drop Box

Finn has officially certifiably grown since February. He is now tall enough to ride the rides at the zoo. It's amazing and slightly sad to see your child growing up before your eyes.

7/16/2011 - Jumping for Joy

From Drop Box

We bought Liam a bounceroo!!! It's amazing. Our active little jumper loves to kick out his feet in an attempt to escape from our arms. It rotates 360 degrees, it lights up, it plays music, but most of all, it makes our little man happy. I love to see those chubby legs kicking away as he plays with this activity center! The best 84.99 that we have ever spent in our lives!!

7/15/2011 - 200 Smiles

From Drop Box

For my 200th blogpost, I dedicate this to my little Liam. Much like this daily blog, I was intimidated of you in the beginning. A daily blog is a big responsibility, I wasn't sure that I could do it, but I put in the effort and made it happen at least 200 times already this year. You, my beautiful little baby, were a challenging and colicky little man, but I put in the time and effort to figure you out and now you are such a sweet and smiley little love. I love to see your sleepy smiles in the morning. I love your warm snuggles as you fall asleep at night. And even though we have had and continue to have sleepless nights, I wouldn't change a thing about you.

7/14/2011 - Using my swag

From Drop Box

One of the perks of being a sales admin is getting first dibs at all the cool swag that my sales reps give out to clients and prospects. In the past 3 weeks, we have acquired a rolling cooler, a tall umbrella, a folding camping chair and a cool deskpad of post it notes that Finn enjoyed playing with. Finn makes cool art and mostly just a mini mess, but it's cheap and free and makes him happy. That's all the really matters.

7/13/2011 - Cutting it up

Jesse and Finn got their haircut together tonight. Finn looks so handsome. So does Jesse. But Finn looks SOOOOOO handsome!

7/12/2011 - Giving love

From Drop Box

Finn often asks to give me love, which basically means he wants to hug and nuzzle. He requested to give Liam love this morning before we headed out to Baachan and Jiichan's house. I was glad to have caught this on camera. Such a loving big bro, Liam is so lucky!

7/11/2011 - Sick or not?

From Drop Box

Liam's been a little odd lately. He hasn't been eating too much from bottles and has been feeding really frequently from the breast. His sleeping has been a little off too. He has been harder to put down for naps and for bedtime. We are getting worried that it might be an ear infection, but he doesn't have cold symptoms or a fever. Mom thinks it's teething, but we don't really know for sure. I just hope he feels better soon. Poor guy.

7/10/2011 - All eyes on us

From Drop Box

From Drop Box

From Drop Box

Our kids have beautiful eyes. Neither of them seem to resemble our eyes, but they are beautiful. What I wouldn't give for Finn's long eyelashes and Liam's perfect almond shaped eyes.

7/9/2011 - Snow Cone Bliss

From Drop Box

I took the kids to the San Jose Buddhist Festival. It was hot! HOT HOT HOT!! Finn experienced his first snow cone. Needless to say he is hooked! We waited in line for an hour to get one. It was well worth it.

7/8/2011 - Lime Popsicle

From Drop Box

Finny peepeed in the potty again at school. In additional to a Hot Wheels Car, we spoiled him with a Lime Popsicle. He's doing so well at school. I get excited each time I get to pick him up, because I know that he will have learned something else each day. It feels so good to know that your child is thriving in their daycare while Jesse and I both work. Sometimes I feel so guilty to be a working mom, but this makes it easier to bear.

7/7/2011 - What big eyes you have!

From Drop Box

I spent my childhood and much of my young adulthood wanting eyes like Liam and Finn. They have the most beautiful big round eyes. I can always live vicariously through them.

7/6/2011 - Bouncy Face

We made funny faces into the iphone today. This is impression of a bouncy face. Do you like it?

7/5/2011 - Going his own speed

From Drop Box

A few months ago, a generous coworker of mine gave us her son's old bike with training wheels for Finny. Finny has enjoyed being pushed on it, but has not caught on to actually peddling. Tonight, Finn's best friend Dylan mastered the bike and by the end of the night was speeding around our carport. Finn, the sometimes competitive one, decided that the bike was not for him ... at least not yet. He's perfectly happy to speed along on Dylan's four wheeler. And we are all just fine with that. Go your own speed Finn. No need to grow up too fast.

7/4/2011 - Snugglebugs

From Drop Box

Liam is getting bigger and gaining new skills everyday. He gives us smiles and snuggles galore. Truly enjoying seeing our littlest one grow up.

7/3/2011 - Summertime

From Drop Box

We are fully taking advantage of our great weather during our 3 day weekend. Finn played in the blowup pool for about an hour and Liam enjoyed the warmth from the shade of our carport. I wish the weekends could last longer.

7/2/2011 - Trailing along

From Drop Box

Jesse took the bike trailer that he got for father's day for a spin today with Finny. Though at first Finn looked a little nervous, I think that he really enjoyed it. Jesse took him on a rather long ride from our house to Stacy's in Berkeley and Finn enjoyed his snack of gummy bears and water while enjoying the scenery. After we got home from Stacy's we hung out with the neighbors. That part of the day is a story all it's own.

7/1/2011 - Yogurt Love

Delicious start to the beginning of our holiday weekend. Jesse and I both got off work a little early today and headed to pick up the kids together. We got an early dinner on the patio at Jupiter. Eating outdoors always makes food taste better. Then we headed to Yogurtland for Frozen Yogurt. The entire walk over to Yogurtland Finn insisted on holding Liam. After his dessert, Finny got to hold his bro with his sticky lovely hands. Yogurt and love!!

6/30/2011 - Muscles

Finn is becoming such a guys guy. He likes to flex his muscles to impress me. They are the cutest muscles that I have ever seen. (Don't tell Finn that I said that!!)

6/29/2011 - Resistance

From Drop Box

Gone are the days when he smiles on request. Now I experience the joy of capturing a moving target trying to put the cover on the camera lens. At least I still have one more kid that smiles pretty much on command for at least 2 years.
