10/30/2011 - Showering the baby

From Drop Box

We attended a fun couple's baby shower for my good friend Jen and her husband Mike. It was a sunny and beautiful day in the Burlingame hills. We all enjoyed good food, good friends and good conversation. Always great to see my college girlfriend's and their significant others.

10/29/2011 - Trick or Treating Practice

From Drop Box

Piedmont Avenue sponsors a early Trick or Treating event during the day. The retailers give out candy and kids get early practice at trick or treating. So fun, we need to do this every year. So much fun! Finn got candy and we got some great costume ideas for next year. I posed with someone dressed as Prince from Purple Rain. He was AMAZING! Lots of Snow White's and Spidermen this year.

10/28/2011 - No papparazzi!!

Finn is really not amused being my subject all of the time. One day when he is famous he will not like the papparazzi being in his face.

10/27/2011 - Lord Faultelroy

Baachan likes the boys dressed in cutesy clothing. This is the latest Lord Faultelroy collared getup. He is so cute, I have to say I kind of dig it on him. Cute boy ... or is that a girl?

10/26/2011 - School Pics

The boys got their school pics today. I cried when I picked them up. I was that hysterical mom squealing in the lobby looking at their beautiful faces. What are the chances that the boys both smile sweetly and get it captured in a photo. Slim to none! And the amazing photographers at Teddy Bear Photographer got them both smiling twice! It was amazing. I am in love. I bought the BIGGEST photo package! Such a sucker for my beautiful boys!

10/25/2011 - Child's play

From Drop Box

We are starting to hit the really jealous stage with Finny right now. He sees Liam getting away with things that we never would let him get away with (hitting and grabbing at people). Lately, he has been acting a little babyish and needy. I guess I don't blame him at all. Tonight he proceeded to play in Liam's jumpy seat. He was able to get himself in there all by himself, but couldn't manage to escape without our help. I will always baby that boy.

10/24/2011 - Getting into everything

From Drop Box

Our super mobile little baby boy has found his way into the baby food bin. Granted, it wasn't very smart placement to have it so close to the ground, but who knew he was resourceful enough to get into it. Look at the guilty little look on his face. Nothing but trouble.

10/23/2011 - He has my back

From Drop Box

Tried out a new way to wear the Liam in the Ergo. It was actually pretty comfy and he ended up napping away in it. I have to say it would be rather difficult to pull off without Jesse's help.

10/22/2011 - Climbing up that hill

From Drop Box

Mr. Finn had a blast at a bouncy house party today. The formerly terrified of tall slides boy spent about an hour climbing up and down that tall slide. It's great to see him overcoming fears and having a blast doing it!

10/21/2011 - Growing up too fast

From Drop Box

Liam wants to be big like his brother. He follows Finny around trying to play with all his toys. Tonight the toy of choice was Finn's scooter. Terrifying! Absolutely terrifying how mobile he is now. Oh, I miss the days when he just laid helplessly on the ground attempting to roll over.

10/20/2011 - Train set

From Drop Box

I have been doing my best to give Finn some extra love and attention lately. I spent most of the evening helping Finn make the most amazing track ever!! It was fun to spend time playing trains with my little conductor. It's actually pretty fun and therapeutic to create fancy track designs.

10/19/2011 - Date night

Tonight was supposed to be a date night for Jesse and I. My friend was going to babysit the boys, but our little man Finny had the temper tantrum of the century. I think that the shock of having to share everything (mostly attention) with Liam is starting to get to him. He had the terrible three tantrum that we only thought existed with all other 3 year olds other than Finn. So, Kari watched our little Liam and Jesse and I took Finn out for burgers and fries rather than the cool local organic food that we were so craving. It was fun! I think that we all needed it.

10/18/2011 - Plays well together

From Drop Box

Liam is all up in Finny's business lately. We all knew that it was coming, but now that it is actually here, it's been more difficult than expected. Our very particular little Finny is not liking having to share toys and attention with Finn. Trying our best to find things that we all can play together.

10/17/2011 - So fresh and so clean

From Drop Box

Post bath happy boy!! Our beautiful Finn makes us all smile!

10/16/2011 - Children's Fairyland

Finn had made a request to visit Children's Fairyland. As doting parents, we had to make it happen. We spent the morning chasing him around the park and having an amazing time. Jesse might have had more fun than Finn though. Please note the goofy grin on his face as he visited the Western Town set on site.

10/15/2011 - Jumpy House

It was our neighbor's one year old's birthday party on Saturday. They rented the largest and most fabulous Hello Kitty Jumpy House ever. It was delivered and 1:00 and the party didn't start until 3. Finn and Dylan spent two of the most fun and exhausting hours of their little lives bouncing their hearts out! It was amazing. Made for an interesting naptime, but was well worth it!!

10/14/2011 - Bang up Job

Ah the post baby hair loss made me resort to some crazy measures. I cut bangs. I hate them and I love them. Right before I cut them I go back and forth trying to decide whether to do it. Every time, my lovely and supportive husband tells me to do what I want but to remember how much i HATE it after I actually do the deed. Well, I did it and I am ambivalent about them. Jesse refuses even to discuss the subject. It's hair .. it will grow back ... eventually.

10/13/2011 - Going through the mail

From Drop Box

Liam has his choice of what seems like hundreds of toys to play with, but it seems like opened mail envelopes and fuzz on the ground are his toys of choice.

10/12/2011 - Keeping him in line

From Drop Box

Our little Virgo Finny loves to keep his things orderly. The cars are lined up from Cars 1 to Cars 2 perfectly placed. Liam on the other hand likes to cause a ruckus. For the time being, the fix is to keep Finn's stuff out of reach, but I can see our busy active monkey devising plans in his little head to get at his brothers goods.

10/11/2011 - An Apple a Day

Here we are! The apple family! Jesse on his iphone, Finn on my ITouch and me taking a picture of them both with my iPhone. Crazy. We should own stock in Apple. Steve Jobs would be proud!

10/10/2011 - Do you hear what I hear?

When I picked up Finny from preschool today, he was in the library listening to a story on tape. It was such a cute scene, I insisted on taking a picture. Since he was in the middle of the story, he insisted I go get Liam first and then pick him up, which is usually not the case. I am loving that he is really starting to enjoy Preschool. It's been great having him start to mesh with the older kids. My big boy!!

10/9/2011 - Nothing but trouble

From Drop Box

I love our mischevious little Liam. That boy is going to get into anything and everything. It's going to be quite the interesting little ride. Right now he is super into the bathroom. Why? We don't know, but he loves it. Time to disinfect anything and everything.

10/8/2011 - Boys will be boys

From Drop Box

I knew from the start that I was a boy mommy. I've never been super girly and have always been comfortable doing the boyish things with my kids. But I am not so sure that I am entirely comfortable for wrestlemania.Things to get used to being a boy mommy.

10/7/2011 - Speedy

From Drop Box

Our Finny is quite the speedy little scooter rider now. It's actually getting pretty hard to capture him in a picture when he's on his scooter. So fun!!

10/6/2011 - Kelsey Family Halloween Costumes Complete

Our final costume arrived in the mail today. Operation Yo Gabba Kelsey is in full effect. Thank you Madamelecrochet at Etsy for turning our little Liam into Muno! Can't wait to get dressed up for Halloween as a whole family! So cool!

10/5/2011 - Pedialyte Pops

From Drop Box

Poor Liam had to be picked up early from daycare today because he was running a mild grade fever. Poor kid must have contracted the flu. Today he got to experience his first taste of Pedialyte. Finny never took to it, Liam doesn't seem to mind.

10/4/2011 - Standing Tall

From Drop Box

Our big boy is getting stronger and stronger each day. We are predicting an early walker. He can pull himself up to standing on virtually anything. See the pride on his face! Getting ready for our busy active boy to start sprinting soon!

10/3/2011 - Slurper

From Drop Box

Finn learns new skills everyday. For the very first time, he let me know that he needed to poop and then proceeded to poop on the bathroom floor (kinda gross, but we are getting closer). It's cool to know that he realizes when he needs to go and I feel like we are closing in on the potty training. He also showed me his mad slurping skills. Noodles are even more fun now that he can slurp like a pro.
Also, the boys got their first school pictures taken today. They got sibling pics! I am dying to see the proofs. One of Liam's teachers was in the room and said that Liam definitely smiled for the camera. I hope that they captured it. I am thinking that I am going to get suckered into buying a huge photo package. Can't wait to see them!

10/2/2011 - Finn Mama Date Day

This week was my week to have a date day with Finny. Finn's first choice was to go see Cars 2 again, but it was out of the theaters locally. So, we went with Finn's second choice of a Zoo Trip. It was fun to run around the zoo and ride MULTIPLE rides. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch and browsed through the zoo shop making it out of there with a cool Oakland Zoo pinwheel. We ended our date day with Yogofina and a browse through the local Gap. Such a good day. Love hanging out with my little man!

10/1/2011 - Oaktoberfest

From Drop Box

It was the 3rd annual Oaktoberfest in our neighborhood. Jesse and I indulged in a few good beers, while Finn dug into a large bag of kettle corn. A good time was had by all.

9/30/2011 - Wrestlemania

From Drop Box

What started out as an innocent cuddle session between two brothers turned into a playful wrestling match. Liam continues to get stronger and stronger. He is able to wiggle out of his brother's grip. This was the only picture that I captured where one of the boys wasn't blurry. We are in for it with this busy boy.

9/29/2011 - Yo Gabba Mamma

It's been a rather stressful week at work. I used my Foofa costume as a form of stress relief. I think that it kinda worked. My coworkers were thoroughly amused.
