4/21/2014 - Back at it

Today we are back to our routine. Back to work. Back to school. Back to early rising. Feeling a little slower today. Our pace has been a lot slower during vacation and I can say that it's been hard to pick up the pace today. Back at it again tomorrow. Hopefully a little faster.

4/19/2014 - Road tripping

We took the long drive home today. The boys were total troopers. Took a couple stops along the way. Two kids napped which was a huge win for all. Such a nice week!

We stopped at Tule Elk state reserve to have a picnic lunch. Caught a glimpse of the elk.

4/18/2014 - Savoring our last day

Working remotely this morning. Overcast morning with a nice view. Jesse took the kids to meet up with Brooke and her daughter at a kids Discovery museum nearby.

They came by to pick me up so we could grab lunch together. Feel lucky to have had a bonus day with Brooke.

We got lunch on the pier, followed by playtime at the beach.

After that, we rented a surrey and took an hour long beachside ride. Good exercise with a great view.

Lovely last full day down here! Fun times!

4/17/2014 - New Friends and Old Friends

We met up with an old friend that I have known since 4th grade, her kids and her mom at LegoLand. Such a fun reunion.

We got to see pieces from the Lego movie set! It was amazing!!!!

Then Brooke invited us over for dinner. Such a hilarious walk down memory lane.

4/16/2014 - Zoo, Beach and Old Town

We went to the world famous San Diego zoo. Worth every penny. So many animals, a fun Skyride and cotton candy.

A nice beach trip to Mission Beach. Our kids are little beach bums.

Finally a Delicious dinner in Old Town.
