We are doing our best to make it to every Pre-K playdate to make Finny as comfortable as possible with the Kindergarten. It's been great for Jesse and I too, because we get to know the parents and students that will be attending Sequoia as well. Today, I took care of our neighbor's kid while Jesse helped them move into their new place. Their son Ben also assisted with the childcare. With the 3 kids in tow, I needed Ben's help. It was a fun and hot sunny day. We all are worn out. But I believe that a good time was had by all.

6/28/2013 - Heat Wave

After a Monday and Tuesday or rainy dreary weather, we are welcoming the warm weather to some extent. It has been steamy hot over here. I got home early on Friday and immediately brought out the kiddy pool for Friday evening cool down. It was necessary for the kids.

6/27/2013 - Our little graduate

Today was one of those days that you treasure like crazy as a parent. I will remember this day forever. I felt so much pride and joy today that it felt like my heart might burst. Finny graduated from Preschool. I think that he is eagerly awaiting the transition to Kindergarten. Such a sweet sweet day. Feel so much love and emotion in one epic moment.

6/26/2013 - Simple Pleasures

I totally find such joy in simple pleasures like 20 minutes to paint my nails and blog while the boys watch a quick Netflix. Sometimes I just need solo time to spoil myself. Tomorrow my baby graduates from preschool. I think that I will cry like crazy. Feel proud and nervous. I resist change like crazy and have been nervous and sleepless lately. I know it will be fine I just am anxious for the transition.

My boys like to poke their sweet faces out the window when we're outside. Actually, when anyone is outside, they smash their gorgeous faces up to the screen and like to communicate with the neighbors through the screens.

6/24/2013 - Tough Day

Maybe it was a case of the Mondays, but the kids and I had a tough day today. I woke up just not feeling happy. There was this weird gloomy cloud over me all day. I didn't feel like going to work. I didn't feel very patient with the kids. I just felt blah. Liam definitely felt the same way this morning too. He woke up extra early and cried his eyes out when I told him that I had to go to work and that he was going to school today. He just cried and held on to me begging to go to Baachan's and screaming that he didn't want to go to school. He eventually calmed down and we headed our separate ways. I survived an insanely busy work day. When I went to pick up the kids, I made the mistake of throwing away Finn's post-school water cup. Apparently, he was not finished and the idea of me throwing out his cup before he was done, was totally devastating. Finn sat in the school hallway bawling his eyes out. Weird day. He calmed down too. The kids both got lollipops for dessert and all was pretty much well. Here's to better days ahead.

Our little incredible Hulk (AKA Liam) just loves his brother to death. He also loves being his rambunctious little self. He was jumping on Finn's back and hugging him. Finn likes it for the most part until ... he doesn't like it anymore. We captured the love of our two little silly boys.
