3/29/2011 - Sunshiny Day

While I have extra help with Jesse's bro visiting, I took advantage and had him accompany me the boys to a visit to The Lawrence Hall of Science. I captured a pic of the bluest sky that we have seen in a long time in the back area of the museum. Love you sunny CA spring weather.

3/28/2011 - Visit from Uncle Awesome

Jesse's brother is visiting and getting plenty of quality time with the kids. It's a huge help to have someone else here to entertain the kids while Jesse and I can actually get household chores done.

3/27/2011 - Always on the run

Today was the 2nd annual Oakland Running Festival. Jesse ran the half marathon with my sister, her boyfriend and our neighbor, Justin. I captured Justin and Jesse nearing the finish line. It's always exciting to watch endurance events. It inspired me to commit to running the half next year. I figure I will give myself a year to recover from new motherhood.

3/26/2011 - Raining frogs and dogs

Finny finally decided that he was ready to don his froggy raincoat. Dressed for puddle jumping in the rainy Oakland weather.

3/25/2011 - Colicky Schmolicky

They say that at the 6-8 weeks mark, babies who will be colicky meet their peak of colickyness. Yippee!! Here we are! Poor little Liam get super bummed out in the evenings into late at night. This boy has some lungs on him!!

3/24/2011 - Couch surfing

Everyone took a little snuggle on the couch before bedtime. Not sure that everyone could fit on it, but we manage to make it work.

3/23/2011 - Swimming along

With the rainy weather upon us, Finn, Liam and I ventured to Play Cafe in the afternoon to help Finny get some more yaya's out. I captured him swimming in their large ball pit. Pure joy for a 2 1/2 year old little ball of energy.

3/22/2011 - See ya soon Cuttie

Our neighbor's supercool Cutlass was towed away to have the engine rebuilt after 6 long years! We look forward to seeing and hearing it zooming around neighborhood soon!

During the break in the rain, Finn got some outside time with his best friend. I captured them playing Batman and Astroboy. Need to let them run around outside to wear them down for the night. Now, if we could just get them to come back inside.

My 3 party animals spent this holiday partying with Caillou on Netflix and snoozes. Oh our glamorous lives!

3/16/2011 - Break in the storm

Our baby is going through what we hope is a colicky stage. Every evening between 6 and 10 he seems inconsolable. Its depressing and exhausting. Thankful for peaceful breaks in the crying storms.

3/15/2011 - My fave nephew

We are all thoroughly enjoying a visit with my sis and my nephew. Daily playdates allweek long for Finny.

3/14/2011 - Smiles are coming

When Finny was about the same age as Liam, I did a series of photos of Finn on this same blanket. Liam does not have quite the variety of facial expressions, but he has his own special ones. He's growing so fast, crazy to see the changes each day. Here is his mischevious half smile. Cutie pie.

3/13/2011 - Little Kicker

Liam was a really squirmy guy in utero. Things haven't changed on the outside either. He is always on the move. I love it!

3/12/2011 - Shutter Speed Play

My sister's boyfriend showed me how to play with shutter speed in the camera to get different kinds of pics of the same item. Learning some cool stuff!!

3/11/2011 - Fairyland

After many weeks of whiny requests, I finally took Finn to Oakland's Childrens' Fairyland. I spent the morning chasing Mr. Finn around Fairyland. He enjoyed running from exhibit to exhibit exploring all the different fairytales. Finn gets faster and faster each day and with Liam strapped into the baby carrier, it makes it harder and harder to keep up with him. I actually managed to catch up with Finn when he stopped on the wooden bridge to watch the Fairyland Train ride by. Thank you Fairyland Train for capturing a busy 2 1/2 year old's attention!!

Finn was being silly and showing me his girl scout cookies. He was overjoyed to be eating them. Not necessarily polite, but absolutely adorable!!

3/7/2011 - Lucky Ears

Both of my boys are said to have lucky ears because of their big lobes. It apparently means good wealth in the future. Mama and Papa are going to need it with the preschool and daycare bills in store for us when I head back to work.

3/6/2011 - Brotherly Love

Finn always request to pat or kiss "this little guy". I love that he is such a loving and affectionate older brother.

3/5/2011 - It's a Jungle out there

We attended a 3 year old birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and man is that place nuts!! Finn enjoyed a good hour and a half of motorcycle racing, Safari Jeep driving and construction truck driving. Good long naps followed the pizza and bday cake binge for mom and kids.

3/4/2011 - Out of this world playdate

Finn had a playdate with his buddy Isaiah down at the Lakeside Park. Other than a post playdate mini meltdown, it was a huge success. I got him down for a 2 hour and 45 minute nap following a fun playdate and mommydate. I am getting the hang of this 2 child parenting thing.
