4/29/2012 - Big Sur Marathon Relay

From Drop Box
Jesse is a superstud and completed 3 of the 5 legs of the Big Sur Marathon today. He ran the relay with Beth, Juan and Beth's friend Mica. He was assigned to the 3rd leg, but just ran the rest of the run. We were so proud of him. Unfortunately, we missed him coming through the finish line because there were 2 hungry and tired little boys that insisted on Gas Station Snacks and shade by our assigned meeting spot. Some battles aren't worth fighting, so the boys won this one today, but there are more battles to be won by their mama!!!

4/28/2012 - Aquarium Amazement

From Drop Box
We took the boys down to the Monterey Bay Aquarium today. Last time we came, Liam was too little to fully experience of it. So, it was fun to see the amazement and joy in his face. Finn had a blast also, exclaiming WOW!!! everytime a new fish or shark swam up to the window. So fun to visit these cool spots with the kids.

4/27/2012 - Toymaggedon

From Drop Box
I spent 10 minutes on the phone with Rhea and this is the chaos that ensued. It's funny to see Finn calmly playing on his old leaptop, while Liam is heading for the power cords in the corner. I now am just used to the chaos and realize that it is futile to try to prevent it. It's taken almost 15 months to accept that.

4/26/2012 - Head to Head

From Drop Box
I caught this pic of the boys playing together. Though they do have their moments, they really do enjoy each others company. One day when they can't stand each other, I will bring this pic out to remind them how much they used to love playing so nicely together.

4/25/2012 - Doggie Wedding

From Drop Box
I stayed home with a slightly sick Finn today. He wanted to play doggie wedding. So we were both doggies, me being the Papa Doggie and Finn acting as the Mama doggie. Mama Doggie insisted on having wedding flowers, so we drew some flowers. Then we walked down the aisle numerous times and hugged as doggies do at the end of the wedding ceremony. It was too too cute!!

4/22/2012 - Chair Chillin'

From Drop Box

I got about 10 shots of the boys chilling on the chair having a snack which is a rare occasion. Liam is usually jumping up and down while Finn is complaining that Liam pushed him or hit him. Jesse requested that I use this one because it looks like they are having a conversation. I still have faith that one day they will be best friends. Moments like these make me have hope!!

4/21/2012 - Extreme Car Nappers

From Drop Box

Busy Saturday equals challenging nap day. We have been trying to get the boys' naptimes synced up, but it's been kind of challenging. Liam is down to one nap everywhere else, but with us he likes two naps, usually cat naps. He fell asleep in the car on the way to Finn's soccer for a 45 snooze, but definitely needed more sleep to get through our busy day. We tried to get Finn to go to naptime on his own and he basically just sat up and played for 2 hours even with our coaxing, so we had to resort to extreme measures. Car nap, it is!!!They both zonked and were pretty good for the rest of the day.

4/20/2012 - Date night

From Drop Box

Jesse and I had a lovely date night tonight. Stacy and Gabe watched the kids and we got to see a lecture by a famous Sound Designer at the Chabot Science Center. It was too cool, this guy was the guy who made the voices for Wall-E and Chewbacca. Then we had a delicious sushi dinner. Man ... we need to do this more often.

4/19/2012 - Long Week

From Drop Box

I have no idea why, but this week has seemed like the longest week in the universe. Starting on Tuesday morning, I swear we were already at Wednesday when I woke up.I think that Jesse and I have both been busy and stressed out all week. Even Liam and Finny have been both pretty much been sleeping through the night all week. Jesse and I are still tired. One more day... one more day.

4/18/2012 - Stall Tactics

From Drop Box

Even at the young age of 3 1/2, Finn can be a slight manipulator. Tonight he managed to stall his bedtime about 20 minutes. His preferred method of stalling is to eat his prebedtime snack as slow as possible while insisting on playing games with either Jesse or I. Tonight he desperately needed to play on my Iphone and created this beautiful work of art on Doodle Buddy for me. It's hard to say no to this boy.

4/17/2012 - Car snoozers

From Drop Box

The excitement at being back at Baachan and Jiichan's after a week away, must have kept their naps rather short. So both boys took a snooze in the car on the way home from San Ramon. I must say, it's fun to have Liam facing forward... except when I actually have to see the tears as he is crying his overtired self to sleep on our carride.

4/16/2012 - Helicopter Friend

From Drop Box

The Carnricks got back from Korea yesterday. After work and school today, Dylan visited Finn to give him his souvenir from Korea. Meet their cute little Korean Helicopter Friend. Liam loved him just as much as Finn. So sweet of them.

4/15/2012 - Park Pals

From Drop Box

At Finn's request, we took the boys for an outing at Joaquin Miller Park. It's fun to see the boys playing together. Finn enjoyed sliding down the slide with Liam. I hope they will be pals like this forever.

4/14/2012 - Welcome to Oakland

From Drop Box

My babies flew home today and my heart feels so happy it is leaping out of my chest.

4/13/2012 - Hungry Woman Dinner

From Drop Box

I have determined that when left to my own devices, I have the food tastes of a single guy with no cooking skills. If I were to travel, Jesse would eat out good food every night. I, on the other hand buy Indian Food TV dinners and drink leftover wine. Come home baby, I'm a mess!!

4/12/2012 - Poop Humor

From Drop Box

I love this game. And I love poop humor!

4/11/2012 - Old Lady

From Drop Box

I received a flyer for the Scooter Store. Why am I receiving this kind of mail? What kind of weird mailing list was I put on. I mean, I know that I may be developing white hairs, but I'm not that old!!

4/10/2012 - Date night with the sis

From Drop Box

Stacy and I had a date night out tonight. We had a delish dinner at Pican followed by seeing Hunger Games. Love spending time with the sis, good convo, always good food and much entertainment. We ended the night with a photo booth shoot! Love photo booths much! I couldn't resist.

4/9/2012 - Yo Gabba Cookies

From Drop Box

My coworker threw a Yo Gabba Gabba themed birthday party for her 2 year old son. Her mother in law made Yo Gabba Gabba cookies as party favors. She knew that we were the Yo Gabba Gabba fam for Halloween and brought the kids some cookies. So cute, wish I were this creative.

4/8/2012 - 2207 Damuth St Easter Egg Hunt 2

From Drop Box

Since the neighbor kids were not here to participate in the Easter Egg hunt last weekend with Dyl, Finn and Liam, Kim hosted another one this weekend. I got to be the photographer. Cute to see the girls having so much. Probably less stressful without the boys sprinting around stealing all the eggs. The girls are so much less aggressive.

4/7/2012 - Easter Egg Goodies

From Drop Box

We had our annual Kono Family Easter Egg Hunt at the Richmond Rod & Gun Club. This year the goods in the eggs were amazing. This mustache and the free high five coupon were my two favorite finds of the day.

4/6/2012 - Finn Bieber

From Drop Box

I am still rocking the Justin Bieber calendar in my cube at work. Since we recently changed months, I had to move to the next Bieber picture. Needless to say, I could not handle a pensive serious looking Bieber for an entire month, so chose to post Finny's pic on it. I think it is going to make my 8 more months of Bieber Fever more amusing.

4/5/2012 - Drawsome

From Drop Box

My new favorite game that I continue to get more creative with. Please enjoy my boots with the fur! Love them!

4/4/2012 - Peaceful boy

From Drop Box

I caught Liam in a calm peaceful position next to the peace symbol on our wedding quilt from Aunt Fran. Our ever busy and vocal boy can be quite peaceful at times.

4/3/2012 - Modern Art

From Drop Box

I was recently introduced to an new Iphone App called Draw Something. It's like Pictionary and Word Scramble all mixed up and it's amazing. Finny loves it too and likes to occasionally draw random pics for my opponents. Do you think that you can guess what he was drawing. It fills me with love and fear that he is so handy with the iphone.

4/2/2012 - Tall boy

From Drop Box

Finn has graduated to his 4T clothing and got to wear his cool Mickey Mouse PJs for the first time. He was so proud he even gave me a smile when I asked him to pose.

4/1/2012 - Tourists in our own town

From Drop Box

My good friend Grant and his family were visiting from Georgia. So we headed into the city to do dim sum with his family. The weather in SF was sunny, so we decided to tag along for their sightseeing. It may not look like it, but Finn really loved his time in SF.

3/31/2012 - Reviewing the Rules

From Drop Box

I love this picture because it shows our handsome little rule follower clarifying the rules with his papa. No one can cheat at Zingo when Finn is playing.

3/30/2012 - Office Assistant

From

Finn came into the office with me on Friday since he was not feeling well enough to go to school. My coworkers loved seeing him. Finn helped Parisa clean up her whiteboard. Mo taught him how to play Uno (that's one in Spanish, per Finn). Anthony showed him how to shine his shoes on his fancy sharper image shoe shiner.

3/29/2012 - Hug it out

From Drop Box

Though this may look like a loving embrace, the boys are actually playing wrestlemania on Finn's bed. One day I will get them to pose for a picture where they are both smiling and loving one another. One day.

3/28/2012 - Lego my Lego

From Drop Box

THough the boys play together pretty well, today, there was no sharing when it came to Finn's legos. Especially because they seem to be a tasty delicacy for Liam. I swear, this kid is going to test us at every milestone. Waiting to find Lego in his poop sometime soon.

3/27/2012 - Night Spa

From Drop Box

Jesse finally managed to convince Finn that long toenails are not cool. I have no idea why, but this kid is terrified of having his toenails cut. He starts to cry (sometimes fake cry) every time we get near those long toe claws!! Crazy gross.
