8/31/2013 - House of Rock

We received the coolest presents in the mail from Uncle Adam!! Guitar tshirts with amps attached so you can play your guitar and wear it too!!! Mama got a drum shirt but the selfie is too weird to post! That present rocks!!!!

8/25/2013 - 'twas the night before Kindergarten

My minions and their bedtime snacks. Feeling anxious but very excited. He seems somehow bigger and older. Lets do this thing!!!

8/30/2013 - 5 years

5 years ago today, I was sitting in a birthing suite in beautiful San Francisco during Labor Day weekend, very much in labor. 24 hours of pain, fear and joy led to the arrival of my beautiful sweet baby Finn. 5 years later, I still love being a mother to this week boy. 5 years later, I am a permanently changed individual in the best way possible. Both of my lovely boys have taught me to be brave in the face of challenge. Both of my lovely boys have taught me that play and work intermix perfectly. Both of my boys taught me the meaning of unconditional love. If I had to do it all over again, I would willingly go through hours of back labor and weeks of morning sickness just to have these 2 lovely boys again. Beyond worth it!

8/28/2013 - Caught in a whirlwind

I just have to admit that I feel really overwhelmed right now. So much change, mostly to our schedule. I know that this is all still getting worked out, but admittedly there have been a lot of tears shed lately, by me and the kids. I wish I could tell myself that it is almost over, but we are just at the beginning. Just patiently sitting in the eye of the storm.

8/26/2013 - Big Day Big Kid

We sent my baby off to Kindergarten today. He was so excited.

8/24/2013 - Finny's fantastic fifth bday feat

Such amazing fun!! We had a lovely time celebrating Finn's bday at Head over Heels! All of the kids had such a blast!! Finn enjoyed playing with all of his buddies. The parents had a blast connecting with each other. Liam raised a ruckus at the gym. Such a great time.

8/23/2013 - Kindergarten Orientation

8/22/2013 - Playing games

Li is getting to an age where he is less destructive. We played a little Chutes & Ladders with him tonight. My babies are growing up. Today was Finn's last day with Baachan and Jiichan. We talked about how much we appreciate them on our car ride home. Feel lucky to have such great parents who have watched our Finn for almost 5 years. I give them lots of credit for the great kid that he is.

We spent Wednesday evening chasing around the soccer ball. It was a nice warm end of summer evening, one of those perfect nights to just go out and play. Liam likes being chased around. I managed to capture a perfect pic of him playfully running from his papa.

I also managed to get a great one of our little athlete midkick. Can't believe we are sending him off to Kindergarten on Monday. He is excited that he gushes about it daily.

8/20/2013 - Lego Creator

Finn received an early birthday present from Uncle Awesome in the mail. It was deemed the best present ever and what he always wanted. Needless to say, he dug right in. Need to find space on our bookshelves to house our new Lego City Helicopter.

8/19/2013 - Day out with Mommy

First day of Chatham Summer break. I got to stay home with my babies! We had the most fabulous day! A morning outing with friends to the Oakland Zoo. 

An afternoon car snooze for Liam, followed by some playtime at Jordan Park. A super fun day!

Busy day today! Pre-K play date! Our Finny is super ready for Kindergarten in a week!!! Then, we headed to a birthday party.

Finn fell in live with our friend's dog.

They also had a great time playing with friends. We finished our day making the tees for Finn's bday party favor!! Thanks to Tio and Auntie! Can't wait to give them out!!

8/16/2013 - Milestones

My baby graduated preschool today! There was not a ton of fanfare or tears because he will still be attending after school care there, but it felt big. I took a couple pictures of Finn and the crew. The photo session grew large as the kids grew eager for photo ops. Finn is proud and excited for what Kindergarten has to offer. Feels like a huge milestone. Big boy getting bigger.

Spent my day at the A's game with my coworkers. Such a fun fun day!!!

This makes the stress so much more tolerable.

8/13/2013 - Piece of Pie

Happy 34th Birthday to my Sweetiepie! We celebrated you with pizza pie and lemon meringue pie! Fun to celebrate our 10th birthday together as a couple! Here is to many more! Thank you to my amazing mom for making this easy as pie for picking the pie up for me while I was at work! You rock mom/Baachan!

Early birthday celebration per kids orders. Papa got to open his birthday gifts from us. Practical gifts for practical papa. Love him to bits. Excited to celebrate him some more on his birthday tomorrow.

8/11/2013 - Life at the movies

While Finny watched Pixar Planes with my friends and their kids, I went in and out of the theater with my kid with a short attention span about 6 times. While Finn watched Planes zipping through the air, I took pictures of Liam posing with British teen pop sensations, One Direction. I took pictures of hot actors on movie posters. 

I can't wait to see a full movie all the way through again. Until then, I will enjoy exploring joy if a movie theater lobby with my Li.

8/10/2013 - Our Kindergarteners

Seems like just yesterday they were just babies parallel playing in the same room. Now both of these beautiful boys are heading off to Kindergarten in two weeks. I am thankful that they will be there together. I love that they have known each other since birth and will always have that story. Here we go! Thankful that he will have a partner along the way.

8/9/2013 - Liam's arch nemesis

Dinner. Liam's greatest foe. That boy just refuses to eat dinner. It is a daily fight for us to get him to sit down and eat dinner. We have tried every possible tactic. The boy just does not support the idea of dinner. Suggestions welcome.

Finn is just amazing with his Lego building skills. He basically put this together on his own with little help from us. Architect in our future?

8/7/2013 - Paying it forward

My counterpart in the South Bay is coming back to work following the death of her hubby. She gets back on Tuesday after about a month of being out. I had fun today while constructing her a welcome back gift basket. Cookies, chocolate and tea. It has comfort written all over it.

They are cute chicks at Chatham!! The eggs hatched to reveal the cutest baby chicks ever!!! Science room fun for Finn!!

8/4/2013 - Giant amounts of fun

I ran my very first 10k ever today! A great way to kick off my 36th year. Fun flat course along the Embarcadero.

You end the race in the ballpark. It was a pretty cool experience.

Jesse was the perfect running partner and stuck with his slow wife the whole way. I can't wait to do another one soon!

8/3/2013 - 36 seems sweet

Today I turned 36 years old. I don't feel embarrassed or unhappy about it. I pretty much feel like I am where I am supposed to be for 36 years on this planet. Tomorrow, I will be running a 10k with Jesse. The giant Race starts and ends at AT&t park. It should fun. 

After a quick trip to the race expo we took the kids to see Turbo. It was awesome.

Then, we headed to San Ramon to BBQ and eat ice cream cake. It was a low key and fun birthday.

Tonight my saints of parents and sister are taking the kids overnight so we can do our race early tomorrow am. It will be the first sleepover for the three boys. Hoping they will be great boys. Cheers to kicking off my 36th year right!
