12/22/2013 - Kai Time

The boys can't get enough of their Quality Time with their cousin. K, T and K were having breakfast out towards us this morning, so I suggested that we get together for lunch and an afternoon playdate with the kids. We headed over to Amba for a yummy lunch and brought the kids over to Montclair park for get a little bit of playground time. It was the most beautiful December day. Sunny, but chilly with a good amount of people out and about. The kids were playing bank robbers on the Wells Fargo Horse and Carriage at the park. Silly sweet robber boys.

10/5/2013 - Oaktoberfest fun

Everyone had a blast at a warm Oaktoberfest in our neighborhood. We started the day with a play date for Finn's class that we organized in the park and migrated to the fun street festival. Busy full fun day.

9/22/2013 - Busy Sunday

I took the kids out for some morning playground time. The newly discovered Pirate Ship park near the Marina.

The boys played well together. 

I took D & Finn to Chabot. We had such a blast.

8/19/2013 - Day out with Mommy

First day of Chatham Summer break. I got to stay home with my babies! We had the most fabulous day! A morning outing with friends to the Oakland Zoo. 

An afternoon car snooze for Liam, followed by some playtime at Jordan Park. A super fun day! 

8/17/2013 - Party Animals

Busy day today! Pre-K play date! Our Finny is super ready for Kindergarten in a week!!! Then, we headed to a birthday party.

Finn fell in live with our friend's dog.

They also had a great time playing with friends. We finished our day making the tees for Finn's bday party favor!! Thanks to Tio and Auntie! Can't wait to give them out!!

7/27/2013 - The bestest park ever

I took the boys to visit with some college girlfriends and their kids. They introduced us to the park that Finn has named "the best park ever". It is a ginormous castle play structure with dragons and slides everywhere! Amazing!

We babysat our neighbor's daughter tonight. She is a sweet kid and gets along well with both boys. I have to say, that little girls have quite a different personality than little boys. I imagine that our life would quite different if I had two little girls. See the focus of my two boys on the food and papa's story. While little E is focused solely on the camera.

I am the worst mother in the world because I took this picture. Little Li was devastated that his brother went on a playdate without him. Finn headed over to the neighbor's house to have a playdate with his buddy Tucker. It seemed like a big boy playdate, so we chose to leave Liam behind. He was beyond upset and stood at the doorway clutching the door handle bawling his eyes out. When he finally calmed down, Jesse offered to take him down to the park, but he insisted on Mama. Another sunny evening playdate. Finn and Dylan drew pictures of each other on the cement after a fun water balloon fight. Can't wait to this weather to be around every evening during the summertime. The three boys really like to unwind with each other after a long day of play at school.

4/20/2013 - PreK Playdate

We had our first PreK playdate at Finn's new elementary. It was awesome to see some kids from his preschool. Looks like it will be 4 of them, all boys, going to her new elementary with him. I like that he will have some more familiar faces when we send him off to the big school next year. He had a lot of fun at this playdate and I feel more and more excited to be sending him here next school year.

4/8/2013 - No pic today

We had such a lovely busy evening that I didn't even manage to take a pic today. The kids both had a great day at school. Both boys ate heartily cleaning off their dinner plates. Dylan is finally feeling better, so the kids got some great playtime outdoors in the windy by light evening. I can feel summer right around the corner and am looking forward to more outdoor time with the kids in the evening.

Rhea's back in town with the kids. So i trekked the kids out to Brentwood. It was so cool to see Carissa and Finny connect so quickly. Little Trevor was following the older two kids around tormenting them, while Liam just hoarded as many toys as possible and stuck by momma's side. This one is of the kids as they enjoyed their seaweed and made funny faces at us. Already planning our dual familiy vaca! Summer 2014 here we come!

We celebrated lots tonight. Tio ran the Oakland Marathon. Stacy & Jesse ran the Oakland Half Marathon. Kim & Kai are still visiting. Stacy turned 40 on Wednesday. So we celebrated with Zachary's pizza and a delicious cake. The boys enjoyed playing dress up with the hand-me-down super hero costumes. They do the serious intense look so well.

2/10/2013 - Zoo Friends

We had a zoo outing today with some friends. I swear the Oakland Zoo never gets old. We always have a fun time even if we have visited a gazillion times. The membership is the best gift we have ever received. Our wild boys had a fantastic time running around the zoo and pointing out all the cool animals. hiding in the bamboo forest, jumping on the lilypads and making faces at the reptiles. Enjoyable day today.

Tonight, while Jesse was at the Springsteen Concert at the Oracle Arena, I had my neighbor and her daughter over for pizza and playtime. THe kids were so sweet and had a total blast together. Meanwhile, Jesse and my neighbor's husband were rocking out to Bruce. It was a lovely and relaxing night for all.

11/25/2012 - Busy Lazy Sunday

Today was the last day of our somewhat luxurious 4 day weekend. Our little Liam has been having some tummy troubles the past couple days, so we basically have been begging him to eat anything to get something in his stomach. He only obliged when we offered him yogurt or ME-MO as Liam lovingly calls it. But, he insists on feeding it to himself. Here is his lovely yogurt beard.

Since both Jesse and Liam were feeling a little under the weather, Finn and I met up with some friends for a playdate at Super Franks. It was AMAZING!!! Arcade games, bouncy houses, foam block pit, indoor climbing structures, plasma cars, you name it! It was a kids dream.

8/11/2012 - The big and small of it all

Today, on our way to a playdate with 2 couples and their 2 kids from our birthing class, we saw the most amazing car ever. It was so amazing, we stopped and took Finn out took a picture of his next to it. He looks so cute and small next to the Monster Bug, it was adorable. Then, we headed off to the playdate at the San Leandro Marina.

It is amazing to see how the kids have grown. What big kids we have. Isaiah is one day older than Finn. Romi is exactly 1 month younger than Finn. Idara is about 5 weeks older than Liam. Jaron is about 9 months younger than Liam. We all met a little more than 4 years ago, 3 sets of pregnant couples about to embark on the adventure of delivering our first kids and now look at us. A little older, a little greyer, definitely a lot less well rested, but living fuller lives because of the 6 little rugrats. It is neat to have people that are going through the same stuff as us at pretty much the same timeframe. Best playdate in awhile.

3/25/2012 - Neighborhood Playdate

We were put in charge of our neighbor's daughter while the mom headed out for a meeting. The kids were napping when she was dropped off, and not having spent solo time with Jesse or I, she was rather uncomfortable, so I went to Dylan's house to see if he wanted to play. Long story short, we ended up with 4 kids running around our house. It was chaotic, but actually totally fun! The kids all kept themselves amused and I was able to make dinner for 4 kids and 2 adults with little to no interuptions. Plus, the kids were having fun! Now I can understand how large families function.
