3/26/2012 -Goose egg

From Drop Box

Our little daredevil attempted to slide down the slide the wrong way at daycare and ended up with the biggest goose egg smack dab in the center of his forehead. There is a reason that he is nicknamed Danger Mouse.

3/25/2012 - Neighborhood Playdate

From Drop Box

We were put in charge of our neighbor's daughter while the mom headed out for a meeting. The kids were napping when she was dropped off, and not having spent solo time with Jesse or I, she was rather uncomfortable, so I went to Dylan's house to see if he wanted to play. Long story short, we ended up with 4 kids running around our house. It was chaotic, but actually totally fun! The kids all kept themselves amused and I was able to make dinner for 4 kids and 2 adults with little to no interuptions. Plus, the kids were having fun! Now I can understand how large families function.

3/24/2012 - Plasma Driver

From Drop Box

Liam is quite advanced for his age. His teachers say that he is will be an early talker. We already know he is an early walker. Maybe he will be an early driver. Just not too early of a driver.

3/23/2012 - Finn Spring Art

From Drop Box

I recently told Finny that I like to bring the art that he does at school to post in my cubicle at work. Every time I pick up his latest artwork from his mailbox at school, he proudly asks me if I will post this up at work to show him off. This one is pretty cool. He made is with real dirt. I love that he is so proud of the cool artistic creations that they make at school.

3/22/2012 - Stay at Home Mom

From Drop Box

My parents were traveling today, so I got to play stay at home mom with the kids. We had a nice visit with Auntie Beth, Auntie Jen and Baby Landon today. The weather was nice, so a nice walk lulled our wily little Liam to sleep and gave me the chance to easily put Finny down for a nap as well. Altogether a perfect day! We ended the day with the boys cuddling on the chair. Finn loves the cuddles ... Liam not so much. This picture cracks me up.

3/21/2012 - Early Riser

From Drop Box

Liam woke up early this morning. He was in relatively good spirits. It was kind of nice to hang out this morning and have him keep me company at breakfast time. Normally, I treasure my alone time in the early mornings, but this morning his sleepy smile made me glad for the company. We split a pop tart and each had our own yogurts. Little boy takes after mama and wakes up early most days. Lucky for us, our Finny takes after papa and enjoys his sleep.

3/20/2012 -Lounging

From Drop Box

Jesse finally took our dirty rugs to get cleaned and we are enjoying the bare floor for the time being. Finn rode his Skuut around the floor and drove his speedy Hot Wheels all over the place. The only downside is that we really really miss having a couch because the bare floor is not as comfy to lounge on as our carpet or a couch. We still managed to relax for a bit before heading to bed. Our little Prince Finn gets dibs on the chair. Lucky boy!

3/19/2012 - Laundry Basket Riders

From Drop Box

Finn and Liam have been playing together so well. Tonight they both piled in our laundry basket and were given a wild ride by their father. It's so great to see them interacting so well lately. Brothers for life! So cute!

3/18/2012 - Playdate party

From Drop Box

We were invited over to our friend's house for a bi-racial 2 kid household brunch. Finn started a bromance with a 4 year old little cutie boy. They both had brought Pixar Cars along with them to the playdate and immediately bonded. They were attached at the hip all day. It was great to see Finny (our little shy boy) bond so quickly and easily with someone new. I think we have found a new playdate buddy. Can't wait for them to play again soon. There were too many cute pics of the boys alone, but I think that this picture demonstrates the madness at ensued with all the kids playing together.

3/17/2012 - Making friends

From Drop Box

We attended the 1st birthday of one of friends' little girls. Liam made a couple new friends. Lucky boy because all of my friends with babies around his age are ladies. Lucky lucky boy will have his pick of ladies when he gets older.

3/16/2012 - Goofy Face

From Drop Box

Our little Finny has the most expressive face. I think he gets it from his mama. I can't help but love every silly face that beautiful boy makes.

3/15/2012 - Pizza Face

From Drop Box

Liam experienced his first Round Table Pizza today. It may not look like it was a success in the picture, but he actually loved the pizza. Think that we may have another junk food addict like his brother.

3/14/2012 - Head bonking

From Drop Box

Apparently the newest hottest rage is bonking your head on the table. Little Liam inadvertently hit his beautiful head on the table after trying to attack the dustbuster (which was cleaning up Liam's dinner which had been thrown on the ground by that little imp). He seemed to think that it was funny for some odd reason. Then Finn got in on the action and starting bonking his own head on the table. Jesse and I spent a couple minutes trying to coax both boys out from under the table, but they proceeded to bonk their heads and cackle. Boys are so weird. I don't think that I will ever fully get them??

3/13/2012 - Tower Building

From Drop Box

Such a fun little evening tonight. Finn and I made block towers and watched Liam knock them down. Finn was having a blast building as quickly and as tall as possible before our little godzilla attacked. There was laughter all around. So glad that the boys are starting to play together.

3/12/2012 - Bookworm

When I picked the kids up from school today, all of the kids were playing in the outside yard. I looked everywhere for Finn, and finally found him sitting on a quilt with two other kids reading books. When we got home, he insisted on reading books. Inevitably he always gets papa to read him more books while I put Liam to bed (need quiet playtime). Then right before we snuggle him to sleep, he always gets 2-4 books. Love our little bookworm!

3/11/2012 - Express yourself

From Drop Box

From Drop Box

Liam is enjoying expressing himself with his little babbling. We have always known him to be a fun kid, but his personality is really starting to shine through. He is expressive. He is rambunctious. He is loud and crazy! We are loving it!

3/10/2012 - Jackrabbit

From Drop Box

Finny's new soccer season started today. He is no longer a Hopper, now he is a Jackrabbit. Coach Evan seems enthusiastic and fun. Finn seems to be doing great out on the field on his own. He is pretty good about using only his feet, but occasionally needs to be reminded not to use his hands. He is progressing so well with his soccer skills and I can't wait to see his scrimmage this season!

3/9/2012 - Legomania

My mom and dad were cleaning out some old stuff and found my childhood lego set. Finn has been having a blast building rockets and space stations with my vintage legos. Totally timeless toys. I also enjoyed building fun lego men! So much fun!

3/8/2012 - Rocking the Stache

There are multiple uses for Seaweed. Finn enjoyed rocking his seaweed Stache.

3/7/2012 - Cleaning Assistant

I am thankful that Finn is such an enthusiastic helper. He was befriended the Dust Buster and always willingly assists in picking up after his messy messy brother.

3/6/2012 - Uncle Juan & Aunt Beth

From Drop Box

Bethie and Juan came to visit us tonight. I know it doesn't look like Liam was very amused, but he was totally enamored with Juan. It was pretty cute. Uncle Juan has an effect on both boys. It was fun chatting wedding planning with the newly engaged couple. Got my bridesmaid dress and shoes tonight too. Ahh, I think this makes it wedding number 6! Love it!

3/5/2012 - Playful boy

Today I spent the hour before Jesse got home playing with Liam. In the past, I feel like it has been more one sided to play with Liam. Today, he actually played with me. He was fetching the ball for me. Snuggling with bear and snuggling with me. This little man is a going to be a mischevious little playmate. I love it. Making our life interesting every day.

3/4/3012 - Construction Site

From Drop Box

We are having some work done on the water system at our condo complex. The workers did not finish the work, so they had to leave the trench they built unfilled over the weekend. Dylan and Finn enjoyed driving their vehicles through the little muddy trench. It's amazing how all of the adults are freaking out over the disarray since the construction left our place in chaos, while the kids are using it as an opportunity to create their very own environment for their tiny cars. I should try to think like these kids more. Taking life to seriously lately.

3/3/2012 - Party it up

From Drop Box

Busy day today. We had 2 4 year old birthday parties. The first one at Dimond Park. Very mellow and fun party. The 2nd one at Pump It Up. Utter insanity! Fun, but total chaos. I captured this pic of Liam at the park this morning. Beautiful day for a beautiful boy.

3/2/2012 - Lounging

When I pick up the boys from school, Liam is usually just sitting down for snack with him classmates. So Finn and I usually let him finish up his snack before we all go home. Finny made himself at home in the toddler room by grabbing some captivating reading material and lounging on their blue leather couches. That kid cracks me up!

3/1/2012 - Matchy Matchy

Our little Liam is finally big enough to fit into the matching PJs that I bought for both of the boys. Finn has been in his for months, but I think that our little Li is finally getting tall enough to wear them without tripping. Too cute! Now I totally understand why parents would dress their kids in matching outfits. Ahh, watch out boys!

2/29/2012 - Monkey Boy

From Drop Box

Our little LiLi loves him some bananas. I swear that it's turning into a wild monkey! Can anyone suggest some calming foods?

2/28/2012 - Chip Boys

Finn and Papa shared a pre-bedtime snack of Blue Corn Tortilla Chips. I love the look on Finn's face. Such a tough boy.

2/27/2012 - Balloon

Our activities group at work threw a Cupcake Contest and covered our office with balloons. Finn and Liam were the lucky recipients of leftover pink and white balloons. I have never seen them both laugh so hard and they ran around playing with the balloons. So cute how such a simple thing can bring them joy. Everyone should be that appreciative of the little things. Love them!
