Crockett turned 1 yesterday, so we visited him at the shelter and took him for a walk. He was excited to see us. We were thrilled to give him some bday love.

5 years ago today, I was sitting in a birthing suite in beautiful San Francisco during Labor Day weekend, very much in labor. 24 hours of pain, fear and joy led to the arrival of my beautiful sweet baby Finn. 5 years later, I still love being a mother to this week boy. 5 years later, I am a permanently changed individual in the best way possible. Both of my lovely boys have taught me to be brave in the face of challenge. Both of my lovely boys have taught me that play and work intermix perfectly. Both of my boys taught me the meaning of unconditional love. If I had to do it all over again, I would willingly go through hours of back labor and weeks of morning sickness just to have these 2 lovely boys again. Beyond worth it!

8/24/2013 - Finny's fantastic fifth bday feat

Such amazing fun!! We had a lovely time celebrating Finn's bday at Head over Heels! All of the kids had such a blast!! Finn enjoyed playing with all of his buddies. The parents had a blast connecting with each other. Liam raised a ruckus at the gym. Such a great time.

8/20/2013 - Lego Creator

Finn received an early birthday present from Uncle Awesome in the mail. It was deemed the best present ever and what he always wanted. Needless to say, he dug right in. Need to find space on our bookshelves to house our new Lego City Helicopter.

8/13/2013 - Piece of Pie

Happy 34th Birthday to my Sweetiepie! We celebrated you with pizza pie and lemon meringue pie! Fun to celebrate our 10th birthday together as a couple! Here is to many more! Thank you to my amazing mom for making this easy as pie for picking the pie up for me while I was at work! You rock mom/Baachan!

Early birthday celebration per kids orders. Papa got to open his birthday gifts from us. Practical gifts for practical papa. Love him to bits. Excited to celebrate him some more on his birthday tomorrow.

8/3/2013 - 36 seems sweet

Today I turned 36 years old. I don't feel embarrassed or unhappy about it. I pretty much feel like I am where I am supposed to be for 36 years on this planet. Tomorrow, I will be running a 10k with Jesse. The giant Race starts and ends at AT&t park. It should fun. 

After a quick trip to the race expo we took the kids to see Turbo. It was awesome.

Then, we headed to San Ramon to BBQ and eat ice cream cake. It was a low key and fun birthday.

Tonight my saints of parents and sister are taking the kids overnight so we can do our race early tomorrow am. It will be the first sleepover for the three boys. Hoping they will be great boys. Cheers to kicking off my 36th year right!

7/13/2013 - Birthday Celebration

We celebrated Mom and Auntie Gerry's birthdays at Koji's, a favorite Japanese restaurant near my parents' home. My old Japanese School teacher co-owns it. So it is always nice to see her. We had delicious food. The kids ate well. Liam consumed 4 huge pieces of watermelon there to everyone's amusement. Nice little gettogether with the fam.
