No Cheri hike for Cole today, so the boys accompanied me on an afterschool dog hike. The kids had fun hiking their pup. It was really hot though.

Tuesdays are my doggy hike day. Cole and I ventured through the Redwood Park in the shade. He's the best hiking buddy.

The weather has been crazy hot, but really beautiful. I had a short hike with Cole on my lunchbreak. Neither of us lasted too long. Too dang hot out here!

4/29/2017 - Bootcamp, Hikes and Outdoor time

We've been soaking up all the nice outdoor time with the great weather in the Bay Area this weekend. I had a great bootcamp session in the morning. I feel like I am getting stronger every time. We were partnered up for our workout and our trainer had the teams compete to complete the most reps of certain exercises. My partner and I did 1843 reps of various exercises. I know i am going to be feeling it tomorrow. We ended up winning Protein Shake Shaker Bottles. Love winning! Following bootcamp, while Jesse got a long run in, the kids and I took Coley out for a nice hike in the redwoods. Other than some minor complaints from one particular kiddo, it was a good time. Finally, the whole family went out for a nice outdoor lunch and walk near Lake Merritt. Beautiful weather calls for lots and lots of outdoor time.

4/27/2017 - Besties

Who would have thought that Jesse and Cole would become best friends. After a rocky start, when we first adopted Cole, Jesse always claimed to only love the dog a small percentage. Now, they are best best buddies.

4/24/2017 - Snugglepuppy

Though I think that Cole enjoyed having a dog buddy for a night, he also likes being the only dog in our lives. Such a snugglebug of a dog! I just love it!

4/23/2017 - Beautiful Day in the Bay

We are still having fun with our 2 doggies. They love Jesse. He's quite the dog whisperer. While, he took care of the kids and doggies, I ran a hilly 5K through the Mountain View Cemetery where many of my relatives are buried. It was a crisp clear day and the hilly course gave me some beautiful views. It was a fun challenge and I am not disappointed with the race time. We took the puppies out for one last hike before she returns back to her family. It was awesome to see the dogs racing through the trails and the kids on their tails.

4/22/2017 - Double Dog dare

We got to watch our friend's dog, Yara overnight. It has been really fun to have a 2 dog household for a short amount of time. Our Coley puppy was slightly jealous, but stayed on his best behavior. The kids had fun with Yara and I think that Cole liked having a doggy buddy to chase around.

4/19/2017 - Back from Hiatus

Things got busy in our life over here and I took over a month hiatus from blogging, but I am recommitting to it. Here is our little Cole's new puppy buddy. She is a 4 month old golden retriever puppy that is bigger than Cole. Testing his patience, but he is being a good model dog.

1/7/2017 - Makeshift

Poor Coley. He is completely over having to wear his cone of shame. We experimented with having him don a headband to protect his poor little ears. It was cute, but not effective.

1/3/2017 - Poor baby

Our poor puppy is rocking the Cone of Shame right now because of itchy ear issues. He has been the saddest puppy lately. Hoping that we can take off the cone soon.
