5/30/2013 - Luau Day at Chatham

From Drop Box
Finn was slated to be King Kamehameha but decided to give up his throne at the last minute. I did manage to capture him in royal form with some of his Monarch buddies.
From Drop Box
Liam did a great job and stayed on stage with no crying until right after the performance. Notice him lounging on stage.
From Drop Box
My cutie in his hula skirt.

5/29/2013 - I wear my sunglasses at night

Trying out Dylan's sunglasses. Finn looks super hip with his board shorts, bright hoodie, crossed legs and shades.

Oh Liam, you look like a big tough bodyguard.

5/28/2013 - Getting the sillies out

From Drop Box
First day back from vacation. The boys are being eased back into the routine by spending today with Baachan and Jiichan. The boys had a good time today. We ate a good dinner and then got a short amount of evening outdoor playtime. They needed to play out the rest of the sillies so that they could have a good rest tonight.
From Drop Box
I think that they managed to do it.

5/27/2013 - Lazy Busy Monday

We kept the kids busy and took advantage of our Monday off. We started the morning with some playground time at Joaquin Miller.
From Drop Box
Li enjoyed the big boy swing for the first time.
From Drop Box
The boys were fascinated by the manmade teepee that some amazing person created next to the playground. Then we headed over to SuperFranks for some indoor playtime/chaos. No cameras were brought in to capture the madness of that place.
From Drop Box
Amazingly enough, both kids still had the energy to run around the carport with the outdoor playtime with Dylan. Such a lovely and fun way to end our wonderful 3 Day weekend!

5/26/2013 - Memorial Day BBQ Sunday Funday

From Drop Box
We through a little fun get together today in celebration of a lovely 3 day weekend. It seems like a fun time was had by all. Popsicles for the kiddos. Pulled pork and yumminess for the adults.
From Drop Box
We had such a fun time with our friends and their kids. Feel blessed to have such a large network of cool people to hang out with

5/25/2013 - Morning Run

From Drop Box
I got up extra early to get a morning run done before the kids woke up. It was so early that the moon was still out. Actually, it wasn't that early, but the moon was out. I tried to capture it with my cell phone camera, but it doesn't do it justice. It was bright and round and totally gorgeous at 5:47 am. Starting to enjoy the morning runs again. Feels good.

5/24/2013 - Happy Hour

From Drop Box
Jesse and I both got off work early today. Yeah for 3 1/2 day weekends. We got a drink together and spent a nice hour having uninterrupted adult conversation. So nice. Nice to still be able to pick up the kids early, but also get the QT.

5/23/2013 - Mr. Potatohead

From Drop Box
Liam got to play with Baachan and Jiichan's Mr. Potatohead collection. He lined them all up. Oh my gosh, just like his brother!

5/22/2013 - Water break

From Drop Box
The boys had a busy day at school today. The weather is getting warm again and they both wear themselves out running around in the playground. Sometimes it's nice just to sit down and take a break with a nice Dixie cup of water.

5/21/2013 - Lego Mania

From Drop Box
Ahh! Lego peace with the kids working separately and calmly on their own creations with no conflict. Something to strive for daily.

5/20/2013 - New Scooter

From Drop Box
Li is the hand-me-down kid. So I thought it was time for him to have something new. He is constantly trying to ride the boys' scooters when they are not playing with them, so I thought I would get him one of his own. He is actually super skilled at riding it. The helmet was necessary with our daredevil.

5/19/2013 - Cooking something up

5/16/2013 - Baby you can drive my car

From Drop Box
Lately the kids have not been napping at B & J's house. So, virtually every Tuesday and Thursday, they both pass out in the car ride home. Usually Liam wakes up when we park the car and is absolutely furious. The half hour drive never gets him well rested enough. But today, they both got a good snooze in. Li woke up and wanted to drive the car. If it keeps him from angrily tantruming, I will take it!

5/15/2013 - Superhero Downtime

From Drop Box
Even superheros can be couch potatoes.

5/14/2013 - The Light at the End of the Tunnel

From Drop Box
My workdays have been particularly brutal for various reasons (sickness, coworkers on vaca, huge projects on my plate). I am almost through the thick of it. My stomach bug is pretty much gone. My sinuses are starting to clear up. I am seeing sunshine coming through after trudging through this dark dank tunnel of life that we have been in for the past couple weeks. My kids help me see light daily by just being sweethearts at the end of each day.

5/13/2013 - Super Kids

There were too many cute photos taken today. I couldn't choose just one. I bought Dylan a superhero cape for his birthday and Finn liked it so much that I bought him one too. Liam and Kiyomi liked it too.Shh, don't tell, but their personalized capes are on their way as we speak.

5/12/2013 - Mother's Happiness

From Drop Box
My two biggest joys in life are my little boys. They are the happiest, silliest and most loving little bugs ever. I just adore them!
From Drop Box
My Li may be a tough guy, but he is a total lovebug to the ones that he knows and trusts. He is my little shadow most of the time. I love that he is a total mama's boy. I love that he is fearless and strong minded. He loves fiercely and will always fight for what he wants. I love that he is goofy and active. I could talk to him for hours about what he is making me for lunch.
From Drop Box
My Finn, oh my sweet Finn. His beautiful joyful smile makes my day everyday. He is smart, sensitive and caring. I love your innate sense of empathy. I swear you were born caring about the needs of all others. Both my boys make me so proud. I love motherhood. It is the most challenging job that I have ever taken on, but it is the most lucrative in terms of life experience and joy!

5/11/2013 - The kiddos

From Drop Box
The beautiful kids in my neighborhood. Such lucky moms we are to have such wonderful little beings for children.

5/10/2013 - Under the weather

From Drop Box
I stayed home sick with Finn. Both of us are battling colds. It is something awful. Poor guy had a minor fever last night and we decided to keep him home with us. I am too busy with work right now, so I spent most of the day keeping our sick boy busy and fed while I tackled some big work projects. Hoping he gets better soon. Hoping the same for myself.

5/9/2013 - Mama's Day Program

From Drop Box
We had the most amazing mother's day performance by Finn's class tonight. They sang 3 songs and recited a sweet poem. Then some of the kids went up front and told their mother's why they love us. Finn thanked me for tucking him in every night and flossing his teeth for him. Then he gave me a few sweet presents and a card. I love my kids and love motherhood. I think we should celebrate our kids this weekend for bringing us the joy of motherhood.

5/6/2013 - Master Gardeners

From Drop Box
Jesse and the boys planted more seeds yesterday in our little planter boxes. He also bought the boys their own watering cans so they both help out with the gardening. I hadn't seen the cute watering cans yet, so it was a treat to see them so enthusiastic about their own little organic garden.
From Drop Box
So fun to see them enjoying gardening like their Gramps and Jiichan.

5/5/2013 - Sunday Funday

From Drop Box
Liam rearranged our tupperware cabinet today. Argh. Glad I got my run in today, but poor Jesse had to deal with our disaster of a house. I supposed it kept Liam amused and safe while he made ice cream with Finny.

5/4/2013 - Soaking in the CA sun

We had such a fun fun day. Totally took advantage of the 80 degree sunshine. Went for a walk around Lake Temescal. Had frozen yogurt in Lafayette while Liam car snoozed. Ended our evening withe outdoor backyard fun with the neighbors. No pics today, just fun.

5/3/2013 - Dinnertime with Liam

From Drop Box
Yes, he did insist on eating his non-cut up chicken tender first despite the fact that I had chopped the other chicken tender into little Liam-sized pieces. Guess the joke is on me. This sized chicken tender really is Liam-sized.

5/2/2013 - Neighbor Time

From Drop Box
We babysat our neighbor's daughter tonight. She is a sweet kid and gets along well with both boys. I have to say, that little girls have quite a different personality than little boys. I imagine that our life would quite different if I had two little girls. See the focus of my two boys on the food and papa's story. While little E is focused solely on the camera.

5/1/2013 - May Day

From Drop Box
It was a special special day. Finn had his Kinderview at Sequioa. The school basically does a short quick assessment of where your child stands in terms of academics and social behavior. The parents get a chance to chat with the principal and get some basic Kindergarten questions answered. We took Finny to ice cream afterwards, right before picking up his bro at school. Then, since we all were home early, headed down to Alameda for an early dinner and quick jaunt over to the beach. It was a lovely way to start off May. Spring has sprung and things are changing. Getting both excited and anxious for Finn's transition to Kindergarten.

4/30/2013 - Treasure Chest

From Drop Box
We took a walk around the neighborhood this evening. Finn found the coolest looking metal star and added it to his treasure chest of fun finds that was formerly my jewelry box. I love that he finds such beauty in everyday items. Hope that he is not too much of a collector like his mama!
